Kabale RDC Calls for Unity Ahead of Museveni’s Kabale Visit
Kabale District leaders and residents have been urged to set aside political differences and work together to support government programs ahead of President Museveni’s scheduled visit on November 25, 2025.

The Kabale Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Rtd. Maj. Godfrey Katamba, made the appeal during the launch of monitoring for the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyooga programs at Kabale Main Stadium.

The event, themed “Mobilisation Launch on Efficient and Effective Service Delivery by the NRM Government,” aimed to assess progress on PDM projects and ensure accountability across the district.

“I want to urge the residents of Kabale to put aside political differences and focus on supporting government programs that aim at improving livelihoods,” Katamba said, emphasizing the need for unity among National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearers and independent candidates.

The RDC also encouraged residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome President Museveni during his visit.

Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture and Local People Affairs, Peace Rugabwa, addressed the gathering, urging voters to elect leaders capable of collaborating with the president to deliver development.

She highlighted the importance of supporting the NRM presidential flag bearer, arguing that opposition leaders often fail to deliver tangible services.

PDM and Emyooga program beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the president for projects aimed at uplifting ordinary citizens.

Monday Kakye thanked Museveni for “thinking about the common people,” while Ruth commended Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha, former Deputy RDC of Wakiso District, for promoting the Emyooga initiative in Kabale.

Sheikh Kassim Kamugisha also appealed to the government to increase Emyooga funding to match support given under the PDM program.

He requested that tailors’ groups be prioritized in the next disbursement, noting that they have yet to receive their funds.
